Nano-scale sol-gel film modified electrode and its electrochemical catalytic performance

摘要

A chemically modified electrode was developed by using nano-scale silica sol-gel film as the matrix for immobilizing the molecules such as the methylene blue or the thionine on a gold electrode surface. The sol-gel film showed the excellent chemical and electrochemical properties and kept the quality electrochemical activity of those immobilized redox molecules. The modified molecules presented the typical adsorption controlled electrochemical reaction, and furthermore, the modified methylene blue gave the obviously electrochemical catalytic affection on the oxidation of nicotinamide adenine dinacleotide (NADH) or reduction of hemoglobin if they were immobilized in the film together with methylene blue.
