Organic-solvent-tolerant extremophiles and enzymes applied in biotransformation of natural products

Biocatalysis of natural products in non-aqueous media can improve solubility of non-polar substrates, specificity of biotransformation and productivity, make biotransformation technology has more applied value. Catalysis systems in biotransformation of organic-solvent-tolerant extreophiles and enzymes, screening and applications of organic-solvent-tolerant extreophiles and enzymes were reviewed and discussed, and the situation of biotransformation in the research of biological active constituents from natural medicines was present, indicating that biocatalysis technology in non-aqueous is a breakthrough in exploitation of natural medicines, it would provide theory direction to the modernization of traditional Chinese medicines.
