Preparation of π-complexation adsorbent for ethylene/ethane separation

摘要

The thermal dispersion method was used to prepare a π-complexation adsorbent for ethylene/ethane separation, which was composed of lanthanum chloride and cuprous chloride supported on activated carbon. The effects of activated carbon modification, dispersion amounts of CuCl, the different LaCl3 adding amounts on π-complexation adsorbent for ethylene/ethane separation were studied, with the combination of the absorbent and preparation conditions optimized. Results indicated that compared with H2O2, the HF modification showed better in ethylene adsorption capacity and selectivity. XRD quantitative phase analysis results showed that the monolayer dispersion threshold of CuCl on activated carbon was 0.056 g CuCl/100 m2 AC. As the lanthanum chloride addition amount is about 11.2% (wt), the ethylene selectivity is doubled as compared with that before.
