摘要

Hydrogen production through microbial electrolysis cell is a new environment-friendly technology. In this paper, the principle and characteristics of microbial electrolysis cell are introduced in detail, with the emphasis on the research progress in microbial, cathode catalysts, anode, reactor and the optimization of operating parameters. Furthermore, the efforts that will be made are put forward and its development prospect is also presented.
