摘要
Hydriding combustion synthesis (HCS) was proposed especially for the production of magnesium-based hydrogen storage materials, exhibiting several advantages, such as simple process, energy saving and high activity of its product. This paper reviews our investigation on the HCS product by means of TEM, SEM, XPS and AES to give the explanation on the high activity of the product. The recent results of hydrogen capacity of 4.6% at 373 K within 100 s obtained by mechanical milling of magnesium-based hydrogen storage alloys prepared by HCS is also presented in this article.
