Research on semi-solid oxidation and semi-solid deformation of Til4 alloy

摘要

The Gleeble-1500 thermal-simulator was used to research the semi-solid oxidation and semi-solid deformation behavior of Til4 burn resistant Ti alloy over 990°C. OM was used for microstructure before and after oxidation and deformation, XRD for oxidation layer and line scanning for the distribution of alloying elements in the oxidation layer. The results showed that weight gain increases obviously with the increasing of semi-solid oxidation temperature. There is only Ti oxides in the surface oxidation layer and no Cu oxides. Its oxidation scale was five layers. The melting grain boundaries are the preferential diffusion path for oxygen diffusion into the matrices. When Til4 alloy semi-solid deformation, melting Ti2Cu phases within grains and grain boundaries grow and form coarse grain boundaries and network structures.
