title = "Research on waste rubber powder modified by sodium silicate",
abstract = "In this study, the surface of waste rubber powder was activated and modified by sodium silicate through the chemical modification method, and the hydrophilic properties of the modified rubber powder were comprehensively analyzed based on characterization methods including the contact angle test, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and infrared spectroscopy. According to the research results, the rubber powder modified by sodium silicate has a contact angle of 59.41°, indicating that the powder surface has changed from hydrophobic to hydrophilic after modification. The analysis of infrared spectroscopy, SEM and energy spectrum reveals that a semi-Transparent resin film, which is hydrophilic, has been formed on the surface of modified rubber powder. The rubber powder activated and modified by sodium silicate can be added into composite materials.",
