Simulation and experiment study on dielectric barrier discharge under different conditions

摘要

A dynamic simulation model which based on the voltage-controlled current source (CCS) for power-frequency dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) and the experiment system for generating DBD are established to study the plane-to-plane configuration DBD in air by simulation and experiment. The electrical parameters of DBD are calculated from the simulated and measured voltage-current waves and voltage-charge Lissajous figures, respectively, and the coherence of the quantitative comparison between them confirms the validity of the simulation model. The change of the discharge power of DBD with amplitude of applied voltage, thickness and dielectric permittivity of the barrier is studied and quantitatively compared by simulation and experiment, and their change trends are qualitatively analyzed from theory. Results show that the dynamic simulation model based on CCS can reflect discharge characteristics of DBD more truly. The discharge power calculated from the simulation and measured from the experiment are well coherence and both change trends are in accordance with the theoretical qualitative analysis.
