Abstract
The flat head double flat-nozzle intersection under combined loadings was analyzed with finite element analysis method and the strength of the double open hole structure under four working conditions was evaluated. The evaluation results show that stress values meet the requirements and have a great safety margin under four working conditions. Moreover, the stress distribution of flat head double flat-nozzle intersection under different combination loads was analyzed in detail. The results show that the increase of axial thrust force F1 can improve the bearing capacity of the structure when the axial thrust force F1 is less than 15 kN. However, the increase of axial thrust force F1 decreases the bearing capacity of the structure when the axial thrust force F1 is more than 15 kN. The axial tension force F2 always increases the overall structural stress and significantly decreases the bearing capacity of the flat head double flat-nozzle intersection.
