Abstract
The polarization curves of ASTM A36, 2.25Cr1Mo and T91 steel were studied by three-electrode system in molten nitrate salt environment at 400℃ respectively. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopies of the three steels with different Cr mass fraction were studied by two-electrode system in molten nitrate salt. The results show that the corrosion rate of steels decreases with the increasing of Cr mass fraction in steels and the corrosion current densities of these three steels are 8.42 mA/cm 2 , 5.37 mA/cm 2 , and 3.54 mA/cm 2 respectively. The results of the electrochemical impedance tests show that the charge transfer resistance of these three steels in molten nitrate salt are in descending order of T91>2.25Cr1Mo>ASTM A36 steel. During the Cr mass fraction of the steel increasing, the charge transfer resistance increases with the resistance of the steels increasing.
