Abstract

The acceptable failure probability of different pressure piping systems should differ as a result of their different degrees of importance. In this paper, a method for the determination of the importance levels of different pressure piping is proposed. Then, on the basis of the fuzzy sets theory and expansion theorem, the method of calculating the corresponding acceptable failure probability of a certain pressure piping is established.
