Abstract

Absorbing electromagnetic wave (EMW) properties of cement-based composites were studied. The composites are made of portland cement and radar absorbing materials in order to search for an appropriate way of martial blindage, aerodrome, et al on disturbing radar and grand building on shielding EMW. The cement-based composites are contained with a carboxide iron powder, nickel oxide and nanometer titanium oxide. Relationship between EMW reflectivity and nanometer TiO2 contents, dispersed means, samples' thickness were analysed. The results show that reflectivity of cement-based composites with nanometer titanium oxide is less than -7 dB in 8-18 GHz frequency range. The least reflectivity is -16.34 dB in 16.24 GHz and bandwidth for -10 dB is 4.5 GHz.
