Abstract

The relationship between the ratio of carbides phases (M23C6/M3C) R and Larson-Miller parameter P of 12Cr1MoV low alloy steel was investigated by means of aging treatment test, creep rupture test, carbide phase analysis using electrolytic extraction method and X-ray diffraction. The remaining life of a 140000 h old 12Cr1MoV high temperature superheater tube was evaluated by using both the carbide phase analysis method proposed in this paper and Larson-Miller method. The results show the deviation of these two methods is about 16%-19% of whole life, and the carbide phase analysis method is more safety.
