Abstract

(Figure Presented) Into the blue: A unique family of polytriphenylene dendrimers (see picture) that emit blue light with high photoluminescence quantum yield were synthesized. The triphenylene units are twisted out-of-plane, and the highly stiff dendritic backbones prevent intermolecular fluorescence quenching.
