Abstract

The tungsten nano-powder doped with CeO2 was prepared by the sol-gel with AMT, citric acid and cerium nitrate hexahydrate as raw materials. The phase composition, shape and size of powders were analyzed by TG-DSC, XRD, SEM and BET. The results show that when the pH of solution is 1, the powder particles are torispherical and do not agglomerate after reduction. At the same time, the rare earth elements exist in form of CeO2 and distribute uniformly. The average particle size of powder is about 80nm. The powder meets the requirement of making sub-micron structure cathodes doped with rare earth oxide.
