Abstract

The progresses in the research and application of micro-nano bubble generating devices were reviewed. Because of their different characteristics from ordinary bubbles, the micro-nano bubbles have attracted more and more attention in recent years. The generating mechanisms of the micro-nano bubbles were investigated, namely generating bubbles by dissolving air, manufacturing bubbles by entraining air and producing bubbles by electrolysis. The corresponding micro-nano bubble generating devices were introduced. The applications of the micro-nano bubble generators in mineral flotation, water restoration and purification, ship drag reduction, drug delivery and thermal ink-jet printing were discussed.
