Abstract

In order to research wave absorbing properties of shaped steel fiber, 15 mm and 30 mm wave-shape steel fiber were added in cement by 2%, 4% at the thickness of 5 mm, 15 mm, 25 mm. After cured, wave-absorbing properties were researched with the arched testing method. The results show that all specimens of 5 mm have maximum absorption near 4 GHz, 10 GHz and the bandwidth for 6 dB reaches 4 GHz; the specimens at thickness of 25 mm with 4% 30 mm steel fiber have a maximum absorption near 17 GHz and the accumulated bandwidth for 6 dB reach 7 GHz. Wave-shape steel fiber have a high potential in electromagnetic protection.
