Abstract

A seismic simulation of pile-soil-structure interaction system was done in Simulink environment. The influence of soil-structure interaction ( SSI ) on dynamic response of superstructure was studied using response spectrum theory. The influence of pile-soil was considered using lumped parameter model. The superstructure was simplified as a single degree of freedom, the state equation of pile-soil-structure system was provided. Simulation model of the system was built under Simulink environment. Influence rules of acceleration spectrum and displacement response spectrum considering SSI under different site conditions was obtained. The results indicate that displacement response spectrum keeps the rule of ' rigid foundation hypotheses < site of kind I < site of kind II < site of kinds III and IV ' Influence rule of acceleration spectrum under different sites is not obvious enough. However, under the condition of soft site and strong stiffness of pile foundation, the acceleration is smaller than the results from rigid foundation hypotheses conditions. Otherwise, acceleration generally larger than the results from rigid foundation hypotheses.
