Abstract

A chiral L-phenylalanine (L-Phe) polystyrene was prepared by chloroacetylated polystyrene (PS-Ace-Cl) and studies on adsorption property of Cu2+. The effects of pH, reaction time as well as the concentration of Cu2+ on the adsorption were investigated to get the optimal conditions. The results were as follows: Cu2+ concentration 100mmol/L, pH = 6.0~8.5, time = 5h, and then the adsorption percentage could be up to 98%. The adsorption percentages of resins with different loading amount were all above 90%. It revealed the adsorption between L-Phe resin and Cu2+ almost 1:1. Furthermore, the stabilization condition for 24h of the adsorption resin was obtained by Cu2+ concentration of 10mmol/L and pH = 2.0~8.0.
