Abstract

Synthesis of dense oxygen-selective perovskite membranes on porous stainless steel tubes was analyzed. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) micrograph of the membrane indicated the appeared La0.2Sr0.8Fe0.8O3-λ (LSCF) powders to be dispersed into the support. The measured N2 permeance through the supported membrane on stainless steel was below the detection limit which confirmed the absence of open porosity in the membrane layer.
