The fatigue life computation method of pressure pipeline containing defects based on reliability assessment

Abstract

The computation of fatigue life is very important to the pressure pipeline containing defects after the defects assessment is processed. The characteristics of fatigue crack growth on pressure pipeline are analyzed, and then the computation method of fatigue propagation of pressure pipeline containing defects is proposed. Furthermore, based on reliability assessment technology, the acceptable failure probability of nuclear pressure pipeline is determined, and then the computation method of final fatigue life of nuclear pressure pipeline containing defects is figured out.
