Abstract

Through testing the dynamic response signals of high-rise buildings under the excitation of the natural environment vibration, the dynamic behaviors is identified, the accuracy of theoretical calculation results can be verified, which provide basis for structural damage detection and assessment of the safety and key indicators for the seismic analyses of structures and design. Firstly, the vibration tests of an office building with pulsating method are completed for getting the natural frequencies and modes. Then, the modal analysis and seismic calculation of the building by using the finite element method are accomplished. The results show that the testing results agree well with theoretical analysis, and the structure has a good capacity to meet earthquake fortification, therefore, the detect method can get a better overall structural performance.
