Effect of magnetization treatment on the electrochemical properties of La0.9Sm0.1Ni2.0Co3.0 electrode alloy

摘要

In this paper, the intrinsic magnetic properties, including the Curie temperature Tc and the saturation magnetization σs, and the electrochemical properties such as the maximum discharge capacity Cmax, the capacity decay rate R at 50 mA g-1 discharge current density, the high rate dischargeability HRD of La0.9Sm0.1Ni2.0Co3.0 electrode alloy, have been investigated systematically. The results show that after being magnetized, the Cmax of the electrode increases, the R reduces and the HRD is improved. The exchange current density I0 and the limiting current density IL of the electrode alloy both increase after the magnetization treatment as calculated from the linear polarization and the anodic polarization of the alloy.
