摘要

The rheological property of Al2O3/SiC suspensions was investigated wth polyepoxysuccinic acid (i. e., PESA) as an anionic dispersant and polyvinylpyrrolidone (i. e., PVP) as a non-ionic dispersant (PESA/PVP). The experimental results show that under alkaline conditions, the rheological property of Al2O3/SiC suspensions with PESA/PVP is different from that with sole dispersant. The suspension with 0.3%PESA and 0.1%PVP (mass fraction)has a lower viscosity. The suspension dispersed with PESA/PVP maintains the suspension stability in the solids content range from 25% (volume fraction) to 45%. Also, the anti-electrolyte performance of Al2O3/SiC suspension with PESA/PVP is superior to the suspension with a sole dispersant of PESA. The interaction between the particles in the suspension is due to the electrostatic repulsion and steric hindrance, leading to the suspension stability.
