摘要

A metal-induced ordered microporous polymer (MMP) was used to improve the properties of polyamide (PA) reverse osmosis membrane. Incorporation of the MMP nanoparticles in the PA layer improved the hydrophilicity, compaction resistance, and chlorine resistance of the membranes. The PA-MMP membranes exhibited ~29% higher water flux (~53.1 L m−2 h−1) than that of PA (41.1 L m−2 h−1) under the pressure of 15.16 bar, while retaining the similar salt rejection. Besides, the PA-MMP membrane exhibited good chlorine tolerance under 30,000 ppm h chlorine exposure at both acidic and alkaline conditions. This work provides a new insight into the fabrication of advanced PA membrane for RO desalination by introducing the nanoporous polymer-based materials.
