摘要

Alkali metal-ion capacitors (AMICs), as novel energy storage devices consisting of battery-type anodes and capacitive-type cathodes, have been paid considerable attention in recent years. By combing the advantages of alkali metal-ion batteries (AMIBs) and supercapacitors (SCs), AMICs deliver high densities, high power densities, and long-term cycling life. However, the obstacle in the practical applications of AMICs is still huge due to the imbalance of kinetics between the cathode and anode electrodes. Hence, designing novel electrode materials is crucial. Recently, MXene-based materials have become promising anode materials for MICs because of their outstanding physical and chemical properties. Herein, we discuss the recent process of MICs in relation to the MXene-based electrodes. Additionally, the challenges and the perspectives of MXene-based material for MICs application is also illustrated.
