Study on removal mechanisms on humic acid of drinking source water with Fenton reagent

摘要

This paper studies the influence factors of the reagent to the removal of humic acid by Fenton reaction, and discusses the mechanism of action. The experimental results show that when processings humic acid, the Fenton reagent has two main kinds of mechanism, including oxidation and coagulation. When pH = 3, oxidation is the leading mechanism, and the removal rate of humic acid can reach to 69.1%. When pH = 8, coagulation is the leading mechanism, and the removal rate of humic acid can reach to 94.9%. The effect of Fenton reagent processing humic acid is better than using hydrogen peroxide oxidation and ferrous ion coagulation alone.
