[H 5PMo VI 8V IV 4O 40(V IVO) 2]·8H 2O: Confinement of heteropoly anions in Ni-containing rigid concave surfaces with high catalytic activity in the oxidation of styrene

Abstract

An organic-inorganic hybrid solid material, [Ni(m-bitmb) 4][H 5PMo VI 8V IV 4O 40(V IVO) 2]·8H 2O (m-bitmb = 1, 3-bis (1-imidazol-1-ylmethyl)-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene) 1, constructed from a bi-capped Keggin structural anion [H 5PMo VI 8V IV 4O 40(V IVO) 2] 2- (abbreviated as PMo 8V 6), and saddle shape cluster [Ni(m-bitmb) 4] 2+, has been synthesized. Compound 1 is also demonstrated to be a high activity for benzaldehyde in the oxidation of styrene.
