Abstract

Thermal treatment of the mechanical mixture of VMOP-12 and PdCl2 enabled the reduction of PdII to Pd0 nanoparticles via VMOP-12 without any external reducing agents. The resulting Pd0/VMOP-12 exhibited permanent porosities and well-dispersed Pd nanoparticles with average diameter of 10 nm. The improved catalytic activity of Pd0/VMOP-12 over palladium black were observed in the context of methanolysis of ammonia borane.
