摘要

Objectives: Bacillus spp., which have relevance to pseudo-epidemics in clinics, may cause serious infections as well as high morbidity and mortality in hospitalised patients with haematological malignancies. Here we report the isolation of Bacillus sp. M13(2017) with a multidrug-resistant phenotype and spore-producing structures, a new strain isolated from radiation-polluted soil in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China. Methods: The draft genome of Bacillus sp. M13(2017) was obtained using an Illumina HiSeq TM 2000 next-generation DNA sequencing platform. Subsequently, clean sequencing data were assembled using SOAPdenovo and were optimised using GapCloser. Results: The draft genome sequence of Bacillus sp. M13(2017) includes 5 873 661 bp, a GC content of 34.84% and is assembled into 6108 open reading frames, of which ca. 5.08% and 1.76% are related to spore formation and antimicrobial resistance, respectively. The blaNDM gene encoding a subclass B1 metallo-β-lactamase was also discovered in this isolate. Conclusions: The genome sequence of Bacillus sp. M13(2017) reported here will be a reference for comparative analysis with genomic and clinically important multidrug resistance features of Bacillus sp.
