N2 - A simple and efficient synthesis of spiro[indoline-3,4'-quinoline] derivatives by a one-pot reaction of isatin, malononitrile, and enaminone under microwave irradiation was investigated. This protocol has the advantages of short reaction time, high yields of products, broad substrate scope, and easy workup procedure.
