The transformation proceeded smoothly without resorting to expensive and potentially toxic iridium or ruthenium polypyridyl-based photocatalysts under mild conditions, furnishing a diverse range of synthetically crucial, geometrically defined β-acylated enamides in a stereoselective and regioselective manner.",
