摘要
In this paper, an embedded bacteria ferment controlling system based on DaVinci technology was designed to segment bacteria images, count bacteria numbers and calculate bacteria areas automatically. According to the characteristic parameters of bacteria, the system could optimize the growth conditions of bacteria. We constructed a small scale, fast processing and flexible controlling hardware platform by making full use of DaVinci board with powerful capability of video and image processing and rich peripheral interfaces. In software design, we have focused on the Codec Engine framework and level set method for bacteria detection, number counting and areas calculation. Statistical analysis of experimental data showed that the automatic counting had almost the same result as that of the manual counting. The linear relationship between bacteria areas and the dry weight was found by calculating bacteria areas. The designed bacteria ferment controlling system can monitor the bacteria growth with accuracy, efficiency and stability.
