摘要

In the title salt, (C₁₂H₁₀BrFN)₂[Pd(C ₄N₂S₂)₂] or [N-(2-fluoro-4- bromobenzyl)pyridinium]₂[Pd(mnt)₂], where mnt^2- denotes maleonitriledithiolate, the Pd²⁺ ion is coordinated by four S atoms of two mnt^2- ligands in a planar geometry. The asymmetric unit is composed of one N-(2-fluoro-4-bromo-benzyl)pyridinium cation and one-half [Pd(mnt)₂]^2- anion. The adjacent counter-cations form dimers by C_py-H ⋯ F_Ar hydrogen-bonding interactions. Anions and cations stack in alternating layers which are nearly parallel to the bc plane of the crystallographic unit cell.
